Here are all the pictures I've been saving up for over a month! :) I had mastered being a working mom in a small town, but now that I am a working mom in a city I find it much more difficult with all the extra time spent in driving times and traffic. But I am thankful I finally found a job. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and Happy New Year!!

We rode the gator several times... he warmed up to it pretty quickly.

This is one of the few gifts that Dennis and I gave Asher and he loves it... but his legs are several inches too short to actually be able to pedal. But he still loves to ride it!

We had an awesome October!! Lots of activity!
Here are photos in no apparent order!

Asher was Batman for Halloween! His costume was too big, but he was a good sport about it!

We only went trick or treating in our neighborhood, since this was Asher's first go-round and we definitely don't need any candy! This is the first house we went to, Asher is growing impatient and trying to open the door himself.

First encounter with a basket 'o' goodies. He took several handfuls. I tried to train him to grab the ones I like. LOL

We have been very busy over the past few weeks! We moved to Little Rock AR mid August. Asher and I have our new home all set up just like we want it now. Dennis helped a little too. :). Here are a few pictures from our latest adventures.

This is a long post.... we have been very busy lately! Dennis is taking a new job with State Farm corporate in Little Rock, AR. We are moving in mid to late August. We are excited about the new opportunity but at the same time sad to leave our friends in Poteau. Here are a few pictures I have been storing up...

Dennis and I took an adult's only weekend get-away to Dallas in July. My mom (Asher's Nana) came and stayed with Asher. Thanks mom! This is in front of the Kessler theater where we went to go see The Gourds play. It was definitely a one of a kind concert! Fun times!

I do not love blizzards. But I do however love that they help me catch up on things! I had half of a snow day at work, so I finally have time to post! Yay! We have been busy lately, my little baby is now in full crawl mode. He is pulling up as often as he can and loves an adventure! I haven't taken that many pictures lately because it always seems like he has snot covering half of his face or a rash from the excessive drool coming out of his mouth. I finally decided that I have to get over these things, they are adding character to my babies sweet little face. This month Asher got his first haircut, although you can only tell a difference when you are really close up to him. Enjoy!

We went for our one month check up this past week and here are Asher's stats:

9 lbs 6 oz (45th percentile)
22 1/4 inches (75th percentile)

Asher is growing so fast! He lost the hair on the very top of his head this week too... So now he looks like his Papaw Bost!

Asher's due date was May 24th... but on May 13th at 4:02 PM he decided to make his appearance! He was 7 pounds 4 ounces and 19.75 inches long. We are so excited to begin the next stage of our lives! Here are some pictures taken over the past few days...

We finally have Asher's room assembled! All of the big pieces anyways, still little things to take care of. I have included some pictures, as well as some random pics I have been saving up for a while. If you haven't heard me talk about the nursery, I should probably warn you, it is not your typical baby blue boy room. It is for Asher to grow up in! It is a very hodge podge antique theme. Can hardly wait for the little guy to get here!!

The famous double dresser and hutch... I thought the hutch would never come in!! It was worth the wait though!

You are probably wondering why I feed my dog angel food cake. Well, to answer your question, I don't! He gets on the counter top and helps himself quite often! This story is a great one though, because he is successful 98% of the time. This angel food cake container proved to be his match!!! He punctured a hole in it, but was not able to get a bite! Sorry Dusty! Better luck next time!

I went to Camden to visit my family the other day. Here is a picture of me and my cousins, Elizabeth and Emily. Looks like I ate too much that day!

This is me all dressed up getting ready to host a friend's baby shower... about as dressed up as I get these days!

The Bost Family came to see us a few weekends ago. I only have a couple of pics. Lucy is by far the youngest one that has successfully maneuvered our bar stools! She climbed up and down with ease... such agility she has!

This time of year our old man, Dusty dog loves to roll around in the dead grass. I suppose it feels like a massage to him. I often tease Dennis by saying instead of vacuuming inside, we should just bail hay off of our floors. To give you a visual example of why I say this below is an classic example of what Dusty would carry into the house. Then, the dead grass gets itchy on his skin (imagine that) and he rolls around on the carpet to cleanse himself. Never ending cycle.

4D Ultrasound

Today we went to the doctor and got our 4D Ultrasound. It turns out, Asher likes to have his picture taken about as much as his mommy does. Between the umbilical cord, hand/arm in the face and him squirming around we couldn't really get a good look at the little guy! We can hardly wait to meet him in person!!
The arm block- it's as if he knows we really want to see behind that little arm but he's just not ready yet!!

2D- look how big that foot is! He has already tried to lodge it in my ribcage once... I am hoping it is getting too big to do that in the future!

Back to 2D again- I can't stop laughing when I see this one! It looks like he is smiling while blowing a bubble... We did get to see him taste testing the amniotic fluid a lot.

My cousin Elizabeth had a beautiful baby girl named Madison. She is such a sweet little thing... She even let me hold her even though I haven't the slightest cue how to properly hold a baby. Guess it may be time to learn.

Baby Moon

We took a Baby Moon this weekend to OKC and had so much fun! We went shopping for baby furniture and cars. We came home with a new car, but no baby furniture. 1 out of 2 isn't bad! Dennis was a lot more excited about shopping for cars than the furniture... which I can't really blame him for that! So I will order the baby furniture online and have it shipped directly to us. I was also able to get my iPhone fixed at the Apple store- yippee! A great weekend overall!

The OKC memorial was very sad, but very moving. Dennis and I really enjoyed it overall. Very poignant.

What's a Baby Moon without stocking up on baby necessities? For example: camoflauge jacket and Bass Pro onesie. Don't all babies absolutely need these items??

Here are pictures of our growing Baby Boy, Asher Blaze Bost. He would hardly stay still long enough to take his picture! His belly is so big because his mom really likes to feed him already! Oops, he is a bit overweight for his age so far. We are going to try and do better though!

Can you see that belly? Whew! I have blossomed! I am almost 17 weeks and I have averaged gaining 2 pounds the last 5 weeks. Whoops! I am trying to excercise now and eat better, but I can just look at food and all of a sudden my belly (and thighs) are expanding. My doctor assures me that this shouldn't happen much longer, that most women experience a major growth spurt and I hope he is right!!

Along the gaining weight line... I would like to thank my wonderful sister-in-law, Mary and her sister, Laura for letting me borrow maternity clothes! You two are sooo sweet for thinking of me and I really appreciate it! As you can see, they are very needed at this time. I don't know what I would do without you two!

Hi everyone! Sorry it has been a while.. I have been using all of my energy for something very special though. I am pregnant! I can not say that I was myself at all during the first 3 months... I wasn't sick at all but I was so tired. Now I am 14 weeks along and feeling great! I can't wait for January, that is when we will get the ultrasound where we find out the sex of the baby! :)

The stadium was absolutely huge! I had just found out I was pregnant when we went and I was tired just looking at how many stairs there were!

Flowers that my sweet and loving husband sent me after a very bad (hormonal) day that I had recently.

Here is my ole' buddy Dusty. He had his yearly checkup the other day and it was a bit chilly outside so I decided to put his vest on him. I remember thinking, man Dusty, this is hard to get on you... Sure enough, the vet said that Dusty has gained 7 pounds since we have moved to Oklahoma! Whoops. Happens to the best of us. Once we got back home I told Dennis what happened and Dennis began to sing "Fat man in a little coat". I can't help but laugh every time I see the picture now!

Some various Christmas decor from our house. Dennis has a little bitty sports tree this year (middle). I am sure it will grow as we get more ornaments.

And now... what everyone is waiting for. The belly shot. I am sorry, I do not feel attractive enough to show anyone my bare belly. I really don't even want my husband to see it. I have been getting larger all around and then all of a sudden last week I woke up one morning and my baby has migrated upwards. And I now have a protruding belly. So weird and beautiful at the same time. I am pretty sure I have gained too much weight already, but that is what happens when you aren't sick and eat all of the time, I suppose.

Anniversary Weekend in Eureka Springs

Dennis and I have been married for 4 whole years this past week. Dennis surprised me and took me to Eureka Springs for the weekend. We had so much fun!

This is an old, one lane wooden bridge in Beaver, AR. It was really neat to see. Not so neat to drive across because it moves just like a rickety suspension bridge on a playground that you walk across! Scary!!

The balcony of our hotel- great location... that is the only good thing I can say about it. Oh, and cool patio too.

Here are some old and some new pictures-

My friend Jana came to see me with her son Jackson. We had so much fun- we realized how un-baby proof our house is! Jana and I grew up together in Fredericksburg, TX. She lives in St. Louis now.

Orange and red do not look good together..... I won't say which one I am partial to.

Here is my birthday present! Dennis got me a bright pink bow and bright pink arrows to go with it! I love archery! I don't think I will actually kill any animals though, just target practice for now.

We stayed in the Lodge at Mt. Magazine this weekend to go to the concert in Paris. This is the view from our room. This place is wonderful- you must go there if you haven't been yet! We relaxed, hiked and ate ourselves silly at the buffet.

We had a great 4th of July weekend this year!
We went to Northwest Arkansas to hang out at Mary's parents lake house. We had so much fun! Dennis was our caterer.... he did a shrimp boil and everyone loved it! Lots of family, fun and fireworks!

Hawaii

We just got back from Dennis' first official State Farm travel trip! I am so proud of him! We got to spend 10 days in Hawaii!! 3 days in Oahu and 7 days on the Big Island. We had so much fun- here a a few pics from our trip. When I say a few, you should be thanking me profusely... because I took 600 pictures on this trip! So it would be an understatement to say I have narrowed the selection down for you!

Here we are on board the USS Missouri. State Farm hosted a dinner here one night. It is at Pearl Harbor right next to the Arizona Memorial.

Here is Dennis and Rhett Minson. Rhett is an agent in Pryor, Oklahoma and as you can tell, he enjoys cigars. YUCK!! We had so much fun hanging out with Rhett and his wife Megan on the Big Island!

This is Dennis and I after we hiked down to the black sand beach below us. I thought I might never make it back up to the jeep!! Please don't laugh at the hat... I am fully aware that it is atrocious but it did keep the sun off of my face!

One day we went kayaking and snorkeling at the Captain Cook memorial. It was a lot of fun.... except that as you can tell it was really cloudy that day, which in turn means cold! Megan and I didn't last as long snorkeling as the boys did, and of course they got to see octopus and all sorts of cool things. Oh well, at least we were warm and dry!

I have been using this Furminator shampoo on DJ... to try to stop him from shedding so much. You have to leave it on for several minutes so while I was waiting... I thought about how everyone always posts pictures of there baby in the bath tub. Well, here is my baby in the bath tub!

Birthday Weekend and Ice Storm

My cousin Rick and my Grandmother, both of which have a birthday on January 27th, at the Razorback game. This is my grandmother's first Hog game ever, and she is 78 years old!! She is one of the biggest Razorback basketball fans ever! We had a great time despite the humiliating loss! We just so happened to take her to the worst loss at Bud Walton. Oops, we didn't know it would happen!

Here is our house today after our little ice storm. It rained all day yesterday, then last night it got really cold and sleet fell most of the night. So this morning we woke up and everything was frozen solid! Of course, we still had to go to work, unfortunately. I think it should be against the law to have your business open if the school district is closed!

Here is the shot just to the west of our house, it is a frozen ridge! It is so beautiful! Just behind this ridge, there is a huge mountain that is solid white. Sorry you can't see it from this picture! One day, we hope to live on one of these ridges... we shall see!

3-Day Weekend

Here is a recap of our three day weekend-
It all started Friday afternoon when I got the worst haircut of all time. I was freaking out and crying by the time I got home. I called Dennis, who was in OKC at a Thunder basketball game, and he assured me I was blowing it out of proportion. Such an empathetic guy he is!
Anyways, Saturday we went to go pick up Dennis' new four wheeler. Which he says he bought for me. It does seat two people, which is really nice! I would include a picture, except the dealership screwed up and ordered the wrong color rims... so it isn't ready for a photo shoot just yet. But rest assured, you will see pictures of it soon. I hope you all can sleep at night while you are waiting!
So today I went to Fayetteville and had lunch and shopped with Mary and Lucy. We had so much fun! Lucy smiled most of the time! Such a cute, toothless grin! I have included a picture below of our shopping adventure! I also stopped by to see Julee Turner for a new haircut.... Julee you are a lifesaver!! My hair looks much better now! I am not afraid to leave the house anymore! I can breathe a sigh of relief!

Dennis had an employee retreat in Hot Springs this past weekend for his team. We had so much fun!! Spouses weren't invited... but I am the accounts payable department for Dennis Bost State Farm so I got to tag along! The girls got spa treatments while the boys went hunting. Dennis outdid himself this Thanksgiving. He stayed up all night last night to smoke 5 turkeys. 3 for his employees and 2 for us. They were so good! To the untrained eye, it may look burnt... but it is so tasty and juicy!! It is great to have a live-in personal chef! (not so great for the waistline though)

We don't have children, so we take pictures with turkeys. Dennis and his pride and joy!

We had a great Halloween at our house this year! Our boys, DJ and Dusty had their cousin Petey over for a sleepover and they had a great time! They all had adorable costumes- DJ was a pirate, Dusty was a dragon and Petey was a cowboy. After you see these pictures it will not surprise you to find that there were female dogs lurking around our yard that night! Just waiting to catch a glimpse of our good looking boys!

Tailgating has become my new favorite activity for the Fall! One of the main reasons it is so much fun is because of one very special person, Lucy Bost. Lucy just happens to be the sweetest, most adorable person I know. She is a fellow tailgater and she is absolutely my favorite niece! I enjoy hanging out with Lucy's parents and grandparents and whoever else comes along for the fun! Occassionally our two boys, Dusty and DJ Bost (pictured above), get to come along too!
